The Cormorant is a small modern diner set just outside of downtown Newburyport. We offer full dine in service with a bar and an online take out program.

The Cormorant is owned and operated by two people who have spent their entire working lives in kitchens. Understanding the difficulties with the profession and industry has given us a unique perspective on our employees. We are opening the first Tip Free restaurant in Newburyport. This means we are paying a competitive living wage and not relying on our guests to subsidize our employees income.

As an employee you can expect to work the hours you were assigned and not be sent home early because business is slow. We respect that you have a life and a budget and need stability - we ask the same in return.

Beyond competitive wage, we also offer our full time and part time employees paid vacation time, no early mornings or late nights, and potential for growth.

Qualified candidates have restaurant industry experience, a positive attitude, are punctual and reliable, and work well in a team setting (and don’t mind the occasional spontanious singing.)

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
